FEST-DOST is a digital festival and competition platform created to give children and young people a space to express their creativity through music, technology and digital media.
While the project may appear relatively simple from a visual design perspective, its real value lies in what the website represents: a functioning platform supporting an actual cultural and educational initiative, participant submissions, competition categories, public voting and the presentation of young creators’ work.
The project was developed around the idea of bringing music education and modern digital technology together, creating an accessible environment where students, teachers and young artists could participate, collaborate and showcase their creativity.
The FEST-DOST website serves as the central digital hub for the festival — providing information about the initiative, competition rules, participation requirements, submitted creations, voting and previous winners.
The project was also supported by the City of Leskovac, adding an important community and institutional dimension to the initiative.

More Than a Website
FEST-DOST demonstrates how a website can become part of a much larger real-world project.
The platform supports an actual creative competition where children and young people create musical performances, record their work and submit it digitally. Selected entries are then presented to the public, allowing online voting to determine the winners.
For the 2025 edition, participants competed in categories based on musical additions using rhythmic instruments, with separate categories for younger and older primary-school students. Five works from each category were selected for public electronic voting.
The winning entries were selected based on the highest number of votes, with prizes including rhythm instrument sets and speakers.
Our Role
The goal was to create a clear, accessible and functional digital presence for a project combining:
- Children’s creativity and artistic expression
- Music education
- Digital technology
- Online competition
- Participant submissions
- Public voting
- Educational collaboration
- Community engagement
The website needed to communicate the concept clearly while making competition information, participation details and submitted works easy to access.
Why This Project Matters
FEST-DOST is a great example of how digital development can support something much bigger than a website.
It connects technology with education, creativity and community participation — giving young people an opportunity to create something, share it with an audience and take part in a genuine competitive cultural experience.
For us, the project represents the kind of digital work where the purpose behind the website matters just as much as the website itself.
